Plugin Licensing
The WP STAGING source code, unless otherwise stated, is licensed under the GNU General Public License (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html) version 2.0 or later. The term WP STAGING is copyrighted and a trademark and brand. You must not use it without our explicit consent. You are not allowed to redistribute WP STAGING | PRO or any of its code by keeping the name WP STAGING and references to it in code.
Warranty
Plugins sold and distributed by us are done so hoping that they will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Since WordPress functions correctly on a clean installation of itself, WP STAGING | PRO is guaranteed to function on a clean installation of the minimum, stable, and required WordPress version for WP STAGING | PRO. Because the number and variety of plugins are vast and wide, we do not guarantee that the plugin will function with all third-party plugins, themes, or browsers of any kind. We do not assume responsibility and will not be held responsible for any conflicts or compatibility issues due to third-party software. We assume no responsibility for any data loss as a result of installing or using WP STAGING | PRO. Should conflicts occur with third-party software, we may provide support at our discretion. Additionally, we are not liable and will not be held responsible for any personal loss, site damage, site errors, theft, fraud, loss of profits or revenue, loss of business or opportunities, or loss of customers or clients as a result of installing or using WP STAGING Pro.
Support
We sell and distribute WP STAGING | PRO and other plugins “as is” and with no implied meaning that they will function exactly as you would like or that they will be compatible with all third-party components and plugins.
Support for plugins sold and distributed by us is only available for those who have an active, paid license.
Support and updates are granted for one year after the original purchase based on the license you have purchased. After one year is completed, the purchaser must renew their license to continue receiving support and updates for the items purchased. For purchases that include an automatically renewing subscription, support will be provided for as long as the subscription remains active.
Support and updates for WP STAGING | PRO are provided as long as WP STAGING | PRO is actively developing. Should any one of the following occur, we will no longer be responsible for providing support for WP STAGING | PRO:
- WP STAGING | PRO is no longer actively developed as a viable product under René Hermenau.
- WP STAGING | PRO or the parent company is purchased or bought out by another company.
- WordPress is no longer actively developed.
Whilst we attempt to provide the best support possible for our plugins, we do not guarantee that any particular support query can or will be answered to the extent or within a timeframe that the inquirer is completely satisfied.
License Usage
WP STAGING | PRO grants each customer a non-transferable license to use the software for internal use and is defined by the terms set in the customer’s chosen license package (e.g. Personal, Pro, Developer, Agency, Business).
Where the license package allows the software to be used on multiple sites, the customer/license-holder may not on-sell the originally-purchased license key provided by us to other users of the license (such as clients) for commercial benefit. Additionally, the customer may not sublicense, to any person or entity, any rights to distribute the software or license key. We will only provide support services to the original customer/license-holder with a legitimate license key, and consider any other uses of this license key for support queries as fraudulent.
Automatic Updates
Automatic updates are available to license holders who have an active and valid subscription and license key. Automatic updates are available for WP STAGING | PRO and all others installed WP STAGING | PRO add-ons. Automatic updates are available as long as the license key generated from the purchase is valid and active.
Plugin Delivery After Purchase
After we have processed your payment successfully, you will receive an email with your order number and other purchase information. Your license key is available in your account area along with your plugin downloads. You can download the plugin by logging into the account created for you when purchasing the plugin and clicking on the appropriate link.
Should you not receive an email containing your information, you can contact us through https://wp-staging.com/support/ to request your purchase information.
Access to re-download purchased files will be granted so long as your license key is valid. If a license key expires, download access to the associated files will be discontinued until the license key is renewed.
Ownership
All plugins are property of WP STAGING René Hermenau. Claiming any intellectual or exclusive ownership rights of our products is strictly prohibited.
Our plugins are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied. We shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or losses that occur due to the use or inability to use our plugins.
Website & Plugin Content
All content found on this site and throughout the plugin, including images, documentation, support queries, and any other information, is the property of René Hermenau and may not be redistributed without permission or consent.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify, change, cancel, or upgrade a plugin subscription and/or license key without prior notice or consent. Prices of all products are subject to change without prior notice or consent. If we increase our prices, and you have an active subscription, you will continue getting the original price.
Cloud Storage Provider – Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Google Drive
WP STAGING offers a cloud provider integration for Google Drive by making use of the Google API. We provide you a mechanism to connect your personal Google Drive account to the WP STAGING software to upload and store your website backup files safely on your Google Drive account.
You commit yourself to use the authentication process in a non-abusive way only. You don’t make excessive use of it by requesting the Google API with any form of automatic and periodic requests. Furthermore, you use it only with your personal Google account. See our Google Drive Privacy Policy here.
Any abuse of this service can lead to exclusion of it, either by WP STAGING or by Google.
Dropbox
This privacy notice is put forth by the team behind WP Staging, identified at the bottom of this page by its company registration number. It’s only applicable if you utilize our WP Staging app for authentication purposes. In instances where you set up WP Staging with your own application, this policy won’t apply, and consequently, no data will be transmitted to our servers.
When you use Dropbox in conjunction with WP Staging, you’ll need to access our authentication server, or website, during the OAuth authentication sequence. Be assured that none of your WordPress site data, including backups, is transmitted to our servers. All such data stays on your WordPress hosting server. During the authentication process, the following will occur:
Your IP address is recorded in our webserver logs. However, we don’t perform any additional processing on these logs. In accordance with EU legislation, these logs are retained for a six-month period before being automatically purged. We do not share these logs with any third-party entities.
In case the authentication is successful, your Dropbox account identifier might be stored in the authentication server’s database. This enables the authentication token to be provided to your site upon subsequent requests. We don’t perform any additional processing on this data and it is not shared with any third party. However, at this time, we do not store this information, as the current Dropbox authentication procedures don’t require it. We simply reserve the right to do so in the future, should it become technically beneficial.
No additional data is transmitted or inherently collected by our servers during the use of Dropbox. Any modifications to this privacy policy will be communicated via updates on this page in the future.
Microsoft OneDrive
This privacy notice is put forth by the team behind WP Staging, identified at the bottom of this page by its company registration number. Refund Policy
We firmly believe in and stand behind our product 100%, but we understand that it cannot work perfectly for everyone all of the time. Due to the nature of digital products, which cannot be returned, we cannot grant a refund if you simply change your mind after purchasing a WP STAGING | PRO license.
Refund Policy for Consumers (B2C)
In order for us to consider a refund request, we require that you meet the below refund policy conditions fully. If you have an issue that we are unable to resolve that makes the system unusable, we will be happy to consider offering a refund. We may ask you questions pertaining to the nature of your refund request.
Refunds will be offered at our sole discretion and must meet all the following conditions fully:
- You are within the first 14 days of the original purchase of the plugin.
- Your issue(s) comes from not being able to install the plugin properly or get the plugin to perform its basic functions.
- You have attempted to resolve your issue(s) with our support team before asking for a refund.
- No refunds will be granted after the first 14 days of the original purchase, whatsoever.
- No refunds will be granted on renewal payments whatsoever. You will receive an email prior to your renewal date and can use this opportunity to cancel your subscription before the renewal payment is automatically processed.
- Issues caused by third-party plugins, themes, or other software will not provide grounds for a refund.
- You agree to deactivate and uninstall WP STAGING | PRO from your site before a refund is granted.
Refund Policy for Businesses (B2B)
This policy primarily applies to B2C transactions. For B2B transactions, different terms may apply, and we reserve the right to handle these on a case-by-case basis.

Digital Products and Right of Withdrawal
As per Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, once a license key has been activated or the software downloaded, the right of withdrawal is waived.
Dispute Resolution
If you believe your refund request has been unfairly denied, you may escalate the matter to our customer relations team. Additionally, we are open to engaging in mediation or arbitration to resolve disputes amicably.
Compliance with Local Laws
Our refund policy complies with applicable consumer protection laws, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Should any provision of this policy conflict with mandatory local laws, those laws will prevail.
By purchasing plugin(s) from our site, you agree to this refund policy and relinquish any rights to subject it to any questions, judgment, or legal actions. We are not liable to cover any differences in exchange rates between the time you purchased and the time you are refunded.

Subscription Cancel Policy
You can always cancel your subscription before the renewal payment is automatically processed.

Email Sending
WP STAGING | PRO may occasionally send you emails related to the purchase of product(s) from our company. We may also send you occasional email newsletters relating to WP STAGING | PRO updates, promotions, WP STAGING | PRO add-ons, and the like. We will never sell or release your email to any third-party vendors. You may opt out of these emails at any time without penalty.
License Agreement
By purchasing our product(s), you indicate and consent to read and agree to the Terms & Conditions listed and detailed on this page. We reserve the right to change or modify the current Terms and Conditions without prior notice or consent.
Severability
If any part of this agreement is declared unenforceable or invalid, all remaining clauses in this agreement shall remain binding on the customer.
